James Rodriguez has reportedly made a decision on his future amid strong interest from Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window. The Colombian international decided to stay and fight for his place in Zinedine Zidane’s squad during last summer window, amid interest from several clubs around Europe.

He has struggled with injuries and game time this season, and his agents have confirmed he is open to available options.

The 28-year-old spent the last two seasons with German Heavy weight, Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga side did not exercise the option to sign him on a permanent deal.

El Desmarque reported that Arsenal are prepared to offer Real Madrid £35 million for the former Monaco ace. The Gunners have a good working relationship with Real Madrid, they took Ceballos on a season long loan at the beginning of the season.

Marca reported that Real’s President Florentino Perez is interested in Arsenal hot shot and skipper, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and the possibility of a swap deal between the two players is being considered by the two parties.

Arsenal have struggled with creativity this season and Ceballos is not fully settled into the squad. Ozil has not enjoyed consistency this season. He was exiled by his former manager Unai Emery. It was after the appointment of Mikel Arteta that the German started to feature regularly in the first team. The German will have a year left on his contract at the end of the season. Arsenal fans have drawn comparisons between James and former skipper Cesc Fabregas. Like the former captain, James has got good eyes for the final pass. Aside from creating goals for teammates, James is also a good goal scorer. The Colombia international was the top scorer at the 2014 world Cup with six goals.

Alongside Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves have also declared their interest in the playmaker.
