Cameroon suffered a big dent to their quest to qualify for next year's FIFA World Cup tournament in the Asian nation of Qatar after they were beaten by hosts Ivory Coast in Abidjan. The 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosts were terrorised by Ajax Amsterdam striker Sebastien Haller throughout their qualifying clash with the Ivorians on Monday.
Ex-West Ham United attacker Haller was a thorn in the flesh of Cameroon as he scored a first half braceto give Ivory Coast a priceless three points via a 2-1 win. Haller scored two goals within nine first half minutes to establish a two-goal lead for Ivory Coast.
