ETO’O IMPRESSES

Cameroon coach Volker Finke says that he is delighted with the form shown by Samuel Eto'o, who continues to remain as the main striker for the national team.

The 32-year-old joined Chelsea in the summer on a free transfer from Anzhi Makhachkala. In the last few years, the form of the former Barcelona man has dropped due to playing in a non-competitive league like the Russian league.

AKONO WANTS PERMANENT ROLE

Cameroon caretaker manager Jean Paul Akono has revealed that he will not be applying for the position of a permanent manager. The Cameroon FA are currently searching for a permanent replacement for Denis Lavagne, was sacked in September.

Cameroon have had to deal with a lot of issues both politically and on the pitch. It is thought that this could be one of the reasons for Akono's refusal to apply for a permanent job.
